Drivers Age

The minimum Driver’s age is 21 years. However, age requirements and restrictions will apply for larger car groups.

Minimum driver's age requirement is 21 years and the maximum driver’s age is 75 years.

A young driver surcharge of USD 24.99 per day will apply for driver's aged 21 years to 24 years.
A senior driver surcharge of USD 24.99 per day will apply for driver's aged 60+ years.

Driver’s License

The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least 3 years before the beginning of the rental .

Also, a valid ID card and passport and booking confirmation voucher would be required at time of pick up.

National Driving License is accepted, if the driver holds a valid driving license with Latin Characters.

If the National Driving License is not in Latin Characters a valid International Driving License is required.
International Driving License must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.

Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.

Please note that we reserve the right to request additional ID or conduct further identification checks if which needed may include an identity check with an external organization.

All additional drivers must meet the same license requirements as the main driver.

You must meet all rental terms and conditions and local requirements at the time of rental or else your reservation will not be assured.

Insurance Coverage

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
It is included in your rental amount.
Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount.

Theft Wavier (THW)
It is included in your rental amount.
Theft Waiver - reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible.

Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL)

Third Party Cover is included in your rental amount.
Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a limited cover for personal injuries and material damages.

Please Note: The Accident Statement should always be supplemented so that the insurances covers will be in effect. If there is a third party involved to an incident, clients should call the police authorities to the incident. In case of car damage or a car theft, an administration fee (D.A.F.) of USD 60 will be charged to the driver.

Insurance Exclusions/Voids

Collision Damage Waiver does not cover: damages provoked at the underside part of the vehicle, inside part of the vehicle-saloon, tire punctures, wheel damage, interior damage, wind shield, wrong fuel, damage to lights or lenses, mechanical damage, mirrors, car key damage, the antenna.

Collision Damage Waiver will be voided if damage is caused by: driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, unauthorized drivers, racing or speed contest or competition, unlicensed driver or driver training, driving over state or international borders in violation of the Rental Agreement, towing or pushing, intentional damage, simple negligence, gross negligence or recklessness, driving off of a regularly maintained roadway, using the vehicle for hire, driving in violation of local traffic laws, failure to secure the car keys, or failure to lock or secure the vehicle.

Attempted theft of the vehicle, car key loss, theft of the personal belongings that were in the vehicle, acts of God and Terrorist Attacks are not covered by any insurance. The car key and the Police Document for the theft vehicle that reported by the driver of the car, should always be presented so that the insurances’ covers will be in effect.

Excess Reduction

 

Full Damage Waiver (FDW) is optional and reduces the excess amount on CDW up to a small manageable amount under the condition that the damage is not due to violation of Road Circulation Code. FDW does not provide any coverage concerning damages provoked at the underside part of the vehicle, inside part of the vehicle-saloon, wind shields, mirrors, car key damage, the antenna, incorrect fuel, acts of God, Terrorist Attacks, during transportation by ferry without prior authorization by the company at the time of pick up the car, wheels and tires. The Accident Statement should always be supplemented so that the insurances’ covers will be in

 

effect. In case of car damage or a car theft, an administration fee (D.A.F.) of 60,00 USD will be charged to the driver. This charge applies irrelevantly of party at fault. Vehicles returned with stained or dirty interior or extremely dirty exterior that cannot be cleaned with normal / common washing, client’s will be charged for minimum 30 to 80 USD for the biological cleaning of the car. If the driver drives the vehicle off the official road network and the vehicle immobilized, the driver will be charged the cost of towing the vehicle from the roadside assistance.

The price of FDW varies from USD 39.99 to USD 69.99 according to the vehicle groups. For more information, please ask at the rental desk.

Fees

Airport Fee is included in the rental.

Other fees:
1. You may be required to pay local tolls or highway fees, depending on where you intend to drive.
2. Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. It traces of smoke is found in the vehicle; a penalty fee will be charged.
3. It is your responsibility to cover the cost of any traffic infringements, such as speeding or parking fines or toll evasion, incurred during the rental period. The supplier will charge you a fee to administer any fines.
4. Vehicles returned with stained or dirty interior or extremely dirty exterior that cannot be cleaned with normal / common washing, client’s will be charged for minimum USD 30 to USD 80 for the biological cleaning of the car.

Roadside Assistance

Roadside Assistance is available for an extra charge. The vehicle is covered by roadside assistance for any mechanical faults. If the call out is due to driver negligence, for example lost keys or running out of fuel, the renter may be charged a breakdown call out fee.
Contact phone number of the road assistance indicated to the signed Rental Agreement and/or provided by the rental agent at the time of pickup the car. It is recommended to contact the branch directly in the event of required roadside assistance. If the driver drives the vehicle off the official road network and the vehicle immobilized, the driver will be charged the cost of towing the vehicle from the roadside assistance. Please check at the rental desk for more information.

Breakdown Assistance is included only for mechanical failure only.

Road Side Assistance is available for an additional charge of USD 12.99 per day.
Roadside assistance does not cover the cost for replacement tire, unless the tire was faulty or not within proper tread levels.

 

Fuel Policy

The vehicle will be supplied with sufficient fuel and must be returned with the same level of fuel . Otherwise, missing fuel plus a refueling fee of USD 20 will be charged on your return. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk.

Mileage Policy

150 mileages per day

For excess Klm an additional charge of USD 4.25 per mile will apply.

Cross Border Travel and Driving Restrictions

Cross border travel is not allowed. In the event that Cross Border and Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Our rental cars are not allowed outside of the State of Florida. Should you take our rental vehicle out of the state of Florida you may be charged up to 2000USD fee and 4.25 per mile  for all miles. It is forbidden to take the vehicle on any kind of boat, ferry, train, lorry or airplane without written permission of CarQ Car Rental. Please note most Florida Tolls are electronic so you may not be able to pay credit or cash and it is difficult to avoid them. You may purchase a activation toll pass at 19.95EUR per day at the rental counter. This fee applies for the duration of the rental. If you decline the Toll Pass an admin fee of 25$ to 100$ plus the toll  will apply to each violation. Toll transponders may not be removed from our vehicle.

E-toll sunpass device is available for an additional charge of USD 19.99 per day. Customer will pay tolls at the end of the rental).
Unlimited toll is available for an additional charge of USD 29.99.

If the customer declines Toll pass / E-toll device, a penalty of  USD 25  for each toll used in addition to the cost for each unpaid toll will apply.

Personal toll devices are not allowed , if a device taken a violation of USD500 will be applied.

There are certain roads and areas that you cannot drive this vehicle on. Any unpaved roads or off-road driving is prohibited. You will not be insured if you drive on these roads and therefore you will be fully liable for any damage that might occur.

One way - Drop off charge

A fee of USD 210 will apply for a drop-off to different locations, e.g from Miami to
FLL or Doral downtown and vice-versa.

Transfer by Ferry boat
Travel by ferry is not allowed .Please check at the rental desk for more information.

Shutter Service

Shuttle services are available from 8am to 10 pm. Every20 -25 minutes. For arrangements you can contact local office.

 

VAT

VAT is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special equipment, or extra services, VAT would be levied separately.

 

Payment Methods

Only Visa, MasterCard credit cards are accepted for both rental amount payment and deposit payment and must be on the main renter's name while paying at the rental desk.
American Express, Diners credit cards, prepaid cards and cash payments are not accepted.
Please note that a credit surcharge may be added when your payment is processed.

If a debit card or cash is allowed at the rental counter for the security deposit, the purchase of our CDW plan will be mandatory. (This description is for informational purposes only. Please refer to the materials provided at the time of rental for specific policy provisions and exclusions).

Deposit

Part of the excess amount depending on the car group will be authorized against your credit / debit card at the time of rental.  This amount will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 5-7 business days after drop off, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

Grace Period

For vehicle pick-up

If flight number is evident on voucher, a grace period of 59 minutes is allowed from the scheduled time of arrival. After the grace period reservation is considered as No-Show and will be canceled without prior notice. In case you apply for car pick-up after the grace period you must first apply for a new booking. If the renter arrives after this time, then a vehicle is not assured. We will do everything possible to provide a vehicle.This may include offering a different vehicle and rates may be different to the original booking.Flight numbers provided are for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of the renter to inform the location of any delays.

For vehicle drop-off
60 minutes of grace period is allowed from the scheduled time of drop-off. If the customer informs 24 hours ahead about one hour delayed drop off and requests approval and returns the vehicle after the grace period, an extra regular rate day charge will apply. In case the customer does not inform 24 hours ahead about one hour delayed drop off and drops off the vehicle after the grace period, an extra regular rate day charge will apply plus a late return fee of 180 USD.

Amendments to bookings

If you experience any delays, you must contact the office immediately prior to your reserved pick-up time. If you experience any flight delays and you have provided our office with your flight details and your mobile number an agent will track your flight and reach out to you via phone call to schedule your pick-up.
You will not receive a refund if you return the vehicle early, reduce the number of days on your confirmed reservation or downgrade the vehicle type from the category booked. Please check at the rental desk for more information.

Confirmation of Special Equipment’s depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
